Tatawaw Message of Welcome

ECCIR respectfully acknowledges that we are located on Treaty 6 territory, a traditional gathering place for diverse Indigenous peoples. We recognize that we benefit from the land, languages, cultures, and knowledges of the Indigenous communities who have lived and continue to live in  Amiskwaciwâskahikan (Edmonton).

Fostering intercultural relationships is central to our organization. As such, the spirit of Tatawaw— which means “Welcome. There is room.”— resonates strongly with our mission. We commit to upholding the spirit of Tatawaw and uplifting Indigenous communities in our work.
