ECCIR Renewed as Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) Canada Coordinator Until 2028

The European-Canadian Centre for Innovation and Research (ECCIR) is thrilled to announce the extension of our role as the Network Coordinator for the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) Canada from July 1, 2025, until December 31, 2028. This renewed mandate reflects our continued dedication to fostering innovative collaboration between the European Union (EU) and Canada.

About EEN Canada

Launched by the European Commission in 2008, the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) is the world’s largest support network for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with international ambitions. The Network brings together experts from member organizations in 50+ countries to help companies innovate and grow on a global scale.

The EEN Canada consortium plays a crucial role in helping Canadian SMEs and startups establish commercial, technological, and research-related partnerships with companies in Europe. Our consortium provides Canadian businesses with advisory and partnering services that facilitate cross-border business cooperation, technology transfer, and research collaboration.

We help SMEs and startups:

  • Find and build successful business partnerships in Europe and beyond.
  • Innovate, license, and access new technologies.
  • Overcome barriers to do business within the EU Single Market and other international markets.
  • Leverage Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), including the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) between the EU and Canada.
